This is such a vulnerable piece of writing Bethany - thank you for sharing. I have sent you a wee message. Sending love too xx

Sorry, posted before I was finished! Raw, frank honesty on display along with your ‘bits’. Remember, you’re already a writer who inspires and blesses. I hear Gillian Anderson is taking to the Salt Path on screen.

Such a beautifully vulnerable piece of writing, Bethany, it soars just like the mountains you walked through! And this lake, oh my!! There is so much in it that I don't really know where to start, so I'll just say one thing: you are already a writer, and a great one at that, with or without the validation of a book deal or big break. Open water swimming has been key for me in dealing with what I perceived as embarrassing failures and with imposter syndrome.

Thanks, Annette, it's funny you should say that, but I've been in the lake every day this week and it is definitely a good place to gain some perspective! I appreciate your comment so much x

This is an excellent read Bethany. Please keep going. I get so much of this and I do think much as we yearn for it and are programmed to aspire for that big break, would we want it?Or is the joy to be found in the perseverance and the smaller breaks like words impacting on just one person and making them feel differently. I don’t know…. Also the sauna sounds so liberating!

Thank you, Deborah. Joy in the perseverance - I like that. I'll take small cracks over big breaks! x
