Love the idea of you holed up in a caravan. Maybe your one-day teenage daughter will use it to escape from to find her own freedom…like her mum. Just one thing is an interesting thought. Looking forward to all the words.
I was gutted to see that your event was today because it’s the only day this week I wasn’t free for festival stuff. It was my son’s birthday party 🥳. I am so sad to have missed what looked like a beautiful conversation x
On my way to and across France for the summer, and I relate to so much you're saying here, Bethany, from giving yourself permission not to write, reading lots (I'm finishing The Alternatives atm) and the idea of writing as if it was the last thing I could say.
I loved The Alternatives. I hope you have lots of books packed for your trip - I usually pack more books than clothes! Enjoy your summer, fellow scribe x
Now I want a hideaway caravan! I like that thought of writing as though you have one last thing to tell the world xx
Me too! It's definitely a thought to ponder (and then write about!)
Bethany, every word of this is beautiful. I’m also pocketing it for moments when I need to hear these words again 🙏❤️
Thank you, Lynn. These are the words of a Salena Godden poem that made me tear up: Keep going, keep going, keep going. x
Excellent advice. More caravans and chill for all!
Lovely to see you last night x
And you! It was lovely to hear the poems read aloud that I have been reading quietly to myself this month. They really are wonderful x

She has already requested a sleepover in it!
What a class read! Quietly manifesting myself a garden caravan (and hoping to see you ?!) x
